The painted walls

Châtillon-sur-Loire’s walls have a good memory and tell you stories. In the centre of the town, you’ll meet the portraits of Robert Stevenson, the author of “Treasure Island” who was imprisoned one night in Châtillon-sur-Loire, or the one of a very timid man who used to wash himself entirely dressed at the municipal public baths. These frescos were made by artists living in the town.
